Private travel, designed in Sri Lanka
Private, tailor-made journeys through an island we live on — your own guide, your own pace, and an itinerary built around you rather than around a schedule.
Where to go
Sri Lanka is small enough to cross in a day and varied enough that most people try to see too much of it. These are the places we build journeys around.
Signature journeys
Each one is private, and each one is a starting point rather than a package. We will change whatever needs changing.
The island everyone comes for, taken at a pace that lets any of it land — the Cultural Triangle, the hill road, a leopard park and a long finish on the coast.
Two safari parks chosen because they are almost nothing alike, and the whale shelf off the southern coast.
Fewer places, longer in each, and a doctor-led Ayurvedic programme rather than a spa menu — built so that the resting actually happens.
What are you coming for?
Most journeys we design are a blend of two or three of these. Pick the one that matters most and we will build outward from it.
Why us
Most companies selling Sri Lanka are not in Sri Lanka. The difference shows up in the details that are hard to fix from somewhere else.
Your own vehicle, your own driver-guide, your own pace. We do not run group departures and we never put separate parties together.
We live here. Every hotel, guide and road on your itinerary has been used by one of us in person — which is the only reason we are willing to put our name on it.
Nothing we publish is fixed. Every itinerary is a starting point that we rebuild around your dates, your pace and the things you actually care about.
A full itinerary and a proper invoice before any payment is taken — if a Sri Lankan operator will not do that, do not pay them. We ask every traveller to hold their own insurance.
A direct number for the whole trip, answered by the people who planned it. Most problems here are small and logistical, and they are far easier to solve from Colombo.

Why slowly
Sri Lanka is roughly the size of Ireland, and you can drive across it in a day. That fact is responsible for more disappointing itineraries than anything else — because being able to reach five regions in nine nights is not the same as it being worth doing.
The journeys that people write to us about afterwards are always the ones with fewer places in them. A morning that was not scheduled. A second night somewhere they had planned to pass through. We build that space in deliberately, and it is usually the part we have to defend hardest at the planning stage.

Custom trip planning
Nine short questions, about three minutes. No commitment, no deposit, and the reply comes from the person who will design the journey — usually within 24 hours.
Rough month is enough. We will tell you if it is the wrong one.
Two of you, a family, a group of friends — it changes everything downstream.
Wildlife, culture, tea country, doing very little. Usually a blend.
Journal
Practical, opinionated writing from people who travel here constantly. Mostly the questions we get asked before anyone commits.
When you are ready
Tell us roughly when you want to travel and what matters to you. We will come back with a considered outline — usually within a day, always from the person who will design it.
