Privacy
What we collect when you enquire, who sees it, and how to have it removed. Written in plain terms because a privacy notice nobody can read protects nobody.
What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form: the month and year you are considering, roughly how long you have, how many people are travelling and their ages if you tell us, the kind of trip, what you are interested in, any destinations you have in mind, the standard of accommodation, an approximate budget range, anything you write in the notes field, and your name, email address, country and — if you give it — a WhatsApp number.
We do not ask for a passport number, a date of birth or any payment details through this website.
Why we need it
To design an itinerary and reply to you. The budget range and the travel dates in particular are what let us give you a realistic answer rather than a generic one. If you would rather not share a budget, tell us on WhatsApp instead and we will work it out in conversation.
Your draft stays in your browser
As you move through the enquiry form your answers are saved in your own browser’s session storage so a refresh does not lose them. That copy never leaves your device, is not readable by us, and is cleared when you close the tab or when the enquiry is sent.
If you contact us on WhatsApp, that conversation happens on Meta’s platform under their terms, not ours. The link on this site simply opens WhatsApp with a message already written — nothing is transmitted until you press send. Our number is +94 70 221 5003.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to count page views and understand which pages people find useful. It does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you across other websites. We do not run advertising trackers, and there is no cookie banner on this site because there is nothing to consent to.
Who else sees your enquiry
The people who design your journey. If your itinerary requires a hotel, a lodge or a driver-guide, we pass on only what they need to hold the booking — usually names, dates and any dietary or access requirements. We do not sell your details to anyone, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you enquired.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as we are in conversation with you and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to it. Ask us to delete it and we will.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email reservations@sirisirilanka.com and we will action it. If you are in the UK or the EU you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that affects you, we will say so here rather than quietly updating it.
