You tell us roughly when you want to travel, how long you have and what matters to you. We come back with an outline itinerary and indicative costs, usually within 24 hours. Then we revise it until it is right. Nothing is charged until you are happy with the plan.

Our lowest published price works out at about US$345 per person for each night on the ground — Ceylon Icons, ten nights, from US$3,450. That covers accommodation, a private vehicle and driver-guide, entrance fees and breakfast, and it is roughly the floor for running a trip this way. Above it, the number depends almost entirely on where you sleep: Sri Lankan hotels run from excellent small guesthouses to some of the best resorts in Asia, and that gap is wider than any other line in the budget. International flights are never included.

Yes. Your own vehicle, your own driver-guide, your own schedule. We do not run group departures and we do not put separate parties together.

There is no bad month, only a wrong coast for the month. Two monsoons hit opposite sides of the island at opposite times, so December to April suits the south and west, and May to September suits the east. The interior works nearly year round.

A deposit confirms the booking and the balance is due before arrival. We are registered with the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority. We will always send a written itinerary and invoice before taking any payment — if a Sri Lankan operator will not do that, do not pay them.

You have a direct number for us for the whole trip, and we are in the same time zone as you are. Most problems in Sri Lanka are small and logistical, and they are far easier to solve from Colombo than from a call centre elsewhere.

No. We deliberately stay out of international flights — you will almost always do better booking those yourself. We handle everything from arrival at Colombo onward, including domestic flights and transfers.
